#Twenty Words with 20 Letters

How many syllables do words with at least 20 letters have?  How many 20-letter words do you come up with while in bed at night?  Do you count the letters of lengthy words on your fingers and toes - or do you need someone else to complete such a truly useless task?

  1. Abdominohysterectomy: removal of the uterus via an incision made in the abdominal wall rather than via the vagina.
  2. Buckminsterfullerene: an allotrope of carbon having a hollow molecule consisting of 60 atoms arranged in 12 pentagonal and 20 hexagonal faces to form a truncated icosahedron. Because, of course.

  18. Uncharacteristically: in an uncharacteristic manner.
  19. Vasoepididymostomies: a kind of surgery by which vasectomies are reversed, involving connection of the severed vas deferens to the epididymis. More than one seems excessive.
  20. Xenotransplantations: the transplantation of biological or organic matter from a given species into a different one, especially when this matter has been altered (such as by genetic engineering)
