Truly Useless 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season Names
The Atlantic hurricane season is the period in a year, from June 1 through November 30, when tropical or subtropical cyclones are most likely to form in the North Atlantic Ocean (and often move into the Northwest Cuban Sea). Tropical and subtropical cyclones that reach tropical storm intensity are named from a pre-determined list. Since 1953, storms were named from lists originated by the National Hurricane Center. They are now maintained and updated through a strict procedure by an international committee of the World Meteorological Organization. That sounded a bit stuffy, so here are our suggestions for the names of the storms during the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season.
