Depicts a sick child who is, well, sick. She wears an icepack on her head, she steeps in a warm bath, and is surrounded by medications. Eh, there isn't much here to comment on, much less be grossed out by. (D+)
Junky JEFF / Stinky STAN
Ah! Depicts a child as a living garbage can and a cat digging through his head. This card has all the gross-out humor one would expect, though its names are lacking a bit of creativity. (B+)
Drippy DAN / Leaky LOU
Depicts a child full of holes drinking water, with the liquid, unsurprisingly, seeping through the body to the floor. While a few holes are corked, most are not and offer views into the inner workings of the child, and again, unsurprisingly, there isn't much there. Not that I expect the children to be anatomically correct. Another good gross-out card. (B+)
Nervous REX / Nerdy NORM
Depicts a child smoking and surrounded by coffees and colas. I guess the gist here is that excessive caffeine consumption makes the child nervous. But nerdy? It seems some of these early cards don't have the greatest names - and this one is proof. (B-)
Creepy CAROL / Scary CARRIE
Depicts a purple-skinned child whose extreme unattractiveness has broken a mirror. I guess it is scary? (C)
Slobby ROBBIE / Fat MATT
Ah, the morbidly obese kid, whose weight has broken the scales - and indeed, the floor below. "Fat Matt" seems a bit dry, but on the whole, it's an okay image. (B+)
Brainy JANIE / JENNY Genius
Depicts a girl with an oversized brain, the likes of which have escaped her head. In fact, her brain appears larger than her head. Because she uses a computer O-kay. This turns her into the stereotypical nerd, though the joke's on us, because 30 years later, we'd all be using computers. So, take that, I guess? (C+)
Oozy SUZY / Meltin' MELISSA
Depicts a wax child whose wick has cinged her head and she's quickly pooling at her feet. Oozy as a name choice seems like another placeholder. (B-)
Bony JOANIE / Thin LYNN
Depicts the skeleton of a child, though very much alive, with red hair in pigtails and a diaper. There's just enough humanity on those bones to give it some eerie tones. (A-)
New Wave DAVE / Graffiti PETEY
Depicts a leather-clad, spikey-haired child – with a safety pin in his nose! – tagging a wall with graffiti. This little punk (heh!) has even gone as far as spraying the word "SMUT" on the wall in bright white paint. How scary is he if you take away his spray cans? (C)
