Operation Assassination

Operation Assassination (OA) was a white paper-like document I put together in the early 1990s to collect information about the Lincoln–Kennedy assassination coincidences (what I liked to refer to as lincolnisms and kennedyms). In addition, it contained information about:
  • Other presidential assassinations (e.g., James Garfield, William McKinley)
  • The supposed curse of dying in office for those American presidents elected in years divisible by 20
  • Supernatural stories involving Lincoln, his ghost, and premonitions
Over the years, I had encountered various trivia and was always surprised to find something new. There wasn't a World Wide Web to share these anecdotes, much less group them in one location, so OA was a paper-based way to document the tales. Plus, I could easily make copies for friends.

I briefly revisited the material and converted it to HTML in 2000 for a proposed GeoCities site. I didn't get very far with it then, but I found all the files recently and wanted to share my research to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
