Truly Useless 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season Names
The Atlantic hurricane season is the period in a year, from June 1 through November 30, when tropical or subtropical cyclones are most likely to form in the North Atlantic Ocean. Tropical and subtropical cyclones that reach tropical storm intensity are named from a pre-determined list. Since 1953, storms were named from lists originated by the National Hurricane Center. They are now maintained and updated through a strict procedure by an international committee of the World Meteorological Organization. That sounded a bit stuffy, so here are our suggestions for the names of the storms during the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season.
